The weather here is losing its winter bitterness, but before the snow all melted, we had a string of foggy days. This particular day was the foggiest we had. The night was warm and eerily quiet. I took a bunch of photos, but most of them were too grainy or lacked good composition. Before my camera died, I was able to capture some fun ones. I edited my favorites and share them with you now.
Gear:
- Camera: Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi

Photo 1 - Porch Lights
This photo could use a little more light. It is entirely too hard to see anything. When I worked on this one, it was pitch black in my room, and the photo looked fine.

Photo 2 - Dancing by Myself
This one is my favorite. The photo appears warm from the lights and color grading, and it looks like I am dancing. At the same time, it is dark and foggy, and all this whimsy is surrounded by a dark vignette. I like the contrast a lot.

Photo 3 - Spin Class
I like this photo. It is in the same series as the previous one, but I went for a colder tone. I like the color much more, but I think my pose in the other photo is better. I'm not sure what makes me like these photos so much, but they really speak to me.

Photo 4 - Not your friendly Spiderman
I was trying to take advantage of the fog to make a spooky-looking shot. I feel the shot was far too zoomed in. I wanted the photo to look cramped, like I am closing in, but I feel it just makes me look small. Additionally, seeing as I am so close, any mystery is gone.
