About

I studied computer science, and by trade I am a developer — but in practice, I am a thinker. My greatest strength is my desire to do meaningful work and make a positive impact. Software development is simply the tool I use to enact change.

Technical Interests

My primary interests lie in full-stack project, scalable systems, and building software that improves outdated workflows. I have loved almost every CS subject I have worked on. I loved the both the pedantic optimization and creative solutions of data structures and algorithms, the fine-grained organization that databases offered, the creative freedom from web development, and the structure I learned in software development.

Computer science as a field excites me. Each new technology is a challenge that I enjoy meeting. Climbing the mountain of knowledge is life-long so it is best taken with joy and enthusiasm. I can not wait to crest the next peak.

Recently, I've developed a strong interest in self-hosting and homelabbing. I run services like Jellyfin and Immich for media management, Nextcloud and Paperless-ngx for document storage, and even host a Minecraft server for friends.

I've also begun experimenting with domain management and Cloudflare Tunnels to improve usability and security across my infrastructure.

Beyond Code

Outside of software, I enjoy automotive culture (especially Formula 1 and working on my own vehicle), photography and photo editing, personal finance, travel, real estate, geography, public transportation, and creative projects like scrapbooking and journaling.

I love interconnected systems like factories, airports, public transit networks, social networks, baggage carousels, trains, highways (specifically their intersections), and many other networks. I have been searching for a term that encompasses these and a job that aligns with them. I am most excited when the system is constructed perfectly, or rather, when there are no optimizations left undone. I feel compelled to find work that aligns with this curious love.

Current Focus

I'm currently focused on strengthening my full-stack development skills while continuing to deepen my understanding of software design, architecture, and engineering principles.
